Dishes, prices & variants
A dish is a single item on your menu, such as a pizza, a starter or a drink. Each dish has a name, an optional description and photo, a price, and an availability switch. When one price is not enough, you can add price variants, for example Small and Large.
How dishes fit together
Section titled “How dishes fit together”Your menu is built in layers: a Menu holds Categories, and each category holds Dishes. A dish always belongs to a category, so create at least one category first (for example “Starters” or “Pizzas”), then add your dishes inside it.
If you sell the same food in more than one size or portion, you do not create separate dishes. Instead, add price variants to a single dish, so guests see one dish with a price for each size.
Add a dish
Section titled “Add a dish”- In the sidebar, open Menu.
- Find the category you want, then click Add Dish at the bottom of that category.
- Type the Dish Name (for example, “Margherita Pizza”). This is the only required field.
- Add a Description if you want (ingredients, portion, a short note).
- Enter the Price (EUR), or add price variants (see below).
- Add a Dish Image if you have one.
- Leave the Available switch on so guests can see the dish.
- Click Create.

Your new dish appears as a row inside the category, showing its photo, name and price.
Name and description
Section titled “Name and description”The Dish Name is what guests read first, so keep it short and clear. The Description is optional and sits under the name in smaller text. Use it for ingredients, a serving note, or anything guests should know before ordering. If your menu supports more than one language, a translation field appears under the name and description so you can enter each language (see the Languages guide).
For a dish with a single price, type the amount in the Price (EUR) field, such
as 12.00. Prices are in euros and cannot be negative. You do not need to type the
euro sign; it is added for you everywhere the dish is shown.
Price variants (Small / Large)
Section titled “Price variants (Small / Large)”Use price variants when one dish is sold in several sizes or portions at different prices, such as Small and Large, or Glass and Bottle.
- In the dish form, next to the Price (EUR) label, click Add Variant.
- The price field becomes a list of variant rows. In the first row, type a Label (for example, “Small”) and its price.
- Click Add Another Variant to add the next size, then type its label and price.
- Repeat for every size you offer.
- Click Create (or Save when editing).

Each variant needs a label, so do not leave the label box empty. On the menu, a
dish with variants shows every size and price together, for example
Small: €8.00 / Large: €12.00.
To go back to a single price, remove each variant row with its trash icon. When no variant rows are left, the single Price (EUR) field returns.
A photo helps guests choose, and it appears as a thumbnail next to the dish. In the Dish Image field you have two ways to add one:
- Upload a file straight from your computer or phone, or
- paste an image link into the address box and click Apply.
Once an image is set, a crop button appears so you can reposition and zoom it to
frame the dish nicely. Use the small X to remove the image.
Availability
Section titled “Availability”The Available switch controls whether guests can see and order the dish. New dishes are available by default.
Turn Available off to take a dish off the menu without deleting it, for example when a dish has sold out for the day. It stays in your list (shown dimmed, with an “Unavailable” tag) so you can turn it back on at any time.

Edit, reorder or remove a dish
Section titled “Edit, reorder or remove a dish”Every dish row has a set of small buttons on the right:
- The pencil opens the dish so you can change any field, then click Save.
- The up and down arrows move the dish within its category to set the order guests see.
- The trash icon deletes the dish. You are asked to confirm first, and this cannot be undone.
