It keeps score for you
The setup checklist
When you first sign in, Eighty-Six gives you a guided checklist that walks you through everything your restaurant needs before it can take its first booking. Work through it from top to bottom and, by the end, your booking page is live and guests can reserve a table.
What the setup checklist is
Section titled “What the setup checklist is”The Setup entry sits at the bottom of your sidebar. Open it to see the Get your restaurant set up page: a running progress bar and eight steps, each one a small task that moves your restaurant closer to accepting bookings. The checklist keeps score for you — there’s nothing to install and nothing to mark off by hand.
Once every required step is done, the Setup entry disappears from the sidebar on its own. That’s your sign that setup is finished and your restaurant is live.

Two of the steps are marked Optional (Add your menu and Invite your team). They’re worth doing, but they don’t hold up going live — you can come back to them any time.

The eight steps
Section titled “The eight steps”-
Complete your restaurant profile. Go to Settings and add your restaurant’s address along with a phone number or email. This step ticks off once your address and at least one contact detail are saved.
-
Define your service periods. Open Bookings and click Schedule to open the schedule panel, then add each service you run — lunch, dinner, and any other turns. Adding one service period is enough to complete this step.
-
Draw your restaurant map. Go to Restaurant Map, create a 2D map of your dining room, and place your tables on it. This step ticks off once your map has at least one table.
-
Configure time slots. Back in Bookings, open the Schedule panel again, pick a service period, and add the bookable start times inside it. As soon as one service period has a time slot, this step is done.
-
Add your menu. (Optional) Go to Menu and add your dishes so guests can see what you serve on the booking page. Ticks off once you’ve added at least one dish.
-
Customize your booking page. Go to Booking Page and add your logo, a hero image, and your restaurant story. Adding any one of these completes the step.
-
Invite your team. (Optional) Go to Team and invite your staff, giving each person the permissions they need. Ticks off once you’ve invited at least one teammate.
-
Publish your booking page. Return to Booking Page and publish it. The moment your page goes live, this final step is done — and so is your setup.

Going live
Section titled “Going live”You go live the moment every required step is complete. When that happens, a You’re all set message appears — “Welcome aboard, your restaurant is ready to accept bookings” — and the Setup entry drops off your sidebar.
The two optional steps can stay unchecked; they don’t affect whether guests can book. From here on, anyone visiting your booking page can reserve a table, and new reservations arrive under Bookings.
